I love the excellent craftsmanship (they are hefty, heavy and great big blocks of books), the delightful, unique designs and the value. The only downside of this version is how thick it is. I love that this edition of The Complete Alice by Lewis Carol offers some of the classic iconography from the book (and subsequent films) but then it adds a twist by using blue as its primary color, rather than red. With a unique die-cut slipcase, printed page edges and an introduction by Jonathan Lethem. You could probably dedicate an entire bookshelf to different editions of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and you still wouldn't have enough room to fit them all. Syria: The Desert and The Sown is a masterpiece of travel writing by Gertrude Bell, a pioneering Victorian explorer of Arabia, now available in a stunning Folio edition featuring her original photography.
