Since 2013, Teanna Zarro has been a faculty member of The Chicago High School for the Arts, and The Hyde Park School of Dance. And summer intensives are an essential step down the road to achieving your dance dreamswhether you want to perform in music videos, ballet companies or Broadway shows. JBS newest program partners with Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, where youll learn acrobatics and circus dance from Cirques performers and trainers. As a professional dancer, choreographer, teacher, and artistic director, Mr. Bray brings a wealth of experience and professional background to each project he undertakes. With 19 programs across the U.S. (plus additional international programs) Joffrey Ballet School offers options for all types of dancers with all types of goals. Each student, parent and faculty member of the program was a vital part of this new family. . Ginger has been a teacher at Oakland University, Steps, the Joffrey New School, and a guest teacher for American Ballet Theatre and the Norwegian National Ballet. My program is designed to introduce the student to their untapped talents, and to give the student the tools and confidence it takes to attain their dreams of musical theater stardom. I hope that they realize that their passion for theater can give them discipline and focus in a chaotic world. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Teanna Zarro began her ballet training with former Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo Soloist, Meredith Baylis. At the conclusion of each week, students will participate in an informal in-studio showing of material that was learned and rehearsed that week. Tiffany Baker, the dance supervisor for Cirques Michael Jackson One show in Las Vegas, is the programs official Cirque consultant, and will help connect dancers to the people who are hiring for Cirques various shows. The intensive culminates in a three-week rehearsal process that guides students from studio to stage, performing classical and contemporary works at the renowned Symphony Space theater on the Upper West Side of New York City on Friday, July 22nd at 2:30pm & 7:30pm. This intensive will give the performer a first-hand view into the life of what it takes to make it as a musical theater performer. We understand that utilizing NYC as a tool to educate and inspire our students is a vital part of our program.. This intensive allows the dancer to explore their potentials in these areas in a safe, fun and well-guided atmosphere. In the final week, the program culminates in a huge professional-grade performance at a theater in NYC. Many students choose to attend a few programs, spending one or two weeks at each one depending on their schedules and interests. Performing in Anna Sokolows Lyric Suite and Charles Weidmans Lynchtown meant extensive exposure to other classical modern dance techniques. The intensives feature live music in class, and instructors who are at the top of their field.
