31 I don't have a good space to spray this product, so I figure I should move it along to someone who can get some use out of it.
Dont get me wrong you can still see the sanding marks through the clear but it laid flat so its not as noticeable.
I thought about toning down a too glossy cabinet redecal with the semi-matte. (speed clear), When I was painting with catalyzed paints over the summer, it seems to me that the low end was 65F. I paint a ton, but don't use spray paint too often, but this stuff was pretty easy to apply, as long as you stay the proper distance away, and work at the right speed. Just done my CB 750 K2 tank candy gold custom and in the UK it's almost impossible to source the colours, but i did it!

Here's the recommendation from the ********** tech sheet for epoxy: To answer your original question about 2k primer (I'll assume you are referring to build primer and not epoxy) it can be sprayed in low temperatures but you will need longer flash and cure times.

Since this is a chemical reaction, the warm temp sped up the reaction to the point that micro bubbles got trapped in the finish and I had to sand them off and start over.

Try "suiting up" with one piece overalls taped at the gloves and neck and trouser bottoms, then put a "real" mask on, then a hairnet or other to stop stray hairs then pull the hood upand you will find just like I said, that as hot as you can stand it is not in reality too hot, You need to understand just how hot it is in the correct gear to start with to understand this analogy. You might want to try emailing their North American office and see if they could recommend a local distributor: 8y I have OVP95 rated ones from Home Depot and could definitely smell the clear.
Guess i should add that this other spot is in a hidden area, not in the middle of the playfield.

This page was optimised for printing. 12y Forgot a question. To prevent this, I also added a Makrolon playfield protector to this title. A friend of mine (an experienced auto body painter) sprayed Imron (clear) on a National brass cash register I restored; it turned out great.
If you are having second thoughts about using a 2k clear coat versus going to the store to get a 1k clear coat, stop right now, and buy this paint.

I've heard differing opinions.
That's what I did when I SM2K'd a Firepower I restored and made decals for.
The inherent heat of engine operation will also accomplish curing.

A light mist coat is good to make sure you don't oversaturate and/or "burn" them. -as many normal coats as it takes.
My experience is that this paint is safe to use in combination with Spraymax, because it doesn't react with it. Next fill the inserts, sand and repeat. Quite frankly, I hate to go through the hassle of tearing down another playfield to mask for such a small area (between a quarter and 50 cent piece in size).

But against my better judgement decided to clear it any way.

I'm wondering how this would do sprayed directly onto brass.
When I first started using Spraymax, I wouldn't get any bubbles, but I've encountered the problem during my last few playfields as well.
Fully cleaned, sanded and masked for spraying.
I used this on the peeling front cap of my motor home after using rattle can automotive "clearcoat" every year with limited success and failure.
Is there any guidance related to humidity? Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2020.
Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features.
Sanding a lot inbetween.
Dry Time: Dries to the touch in 30 mins. with the method Vid is recommending.

I've struggled to this point with filling in my cupped inserts and really need this next and last step to go smoothly.
I think I paid ~$20 per can plus shipping. As good as a professional clear coating.
9y In the morning the temperature starts out in the mid 70's with humidity in the high 90's.
You just need to lock them down beneath an overcoat that covers the entire surface area. - Cirqus Voltaire has an original Diamond Plate clearcoat, which attaches badly to playfield inserts.

I learned to be faster in the first place, point is you aint gonna get your garage as hot as an oven.How to stop yourself getting crazing or "cracking" in paint or laquer used on fibreglass over time (this is one for side panels and tail pieces) use a "plasticiser" in your mix, it is expensive, but it does what it says on the tin/bottle it keeps the paint flexible so is especially great for fairings that obviously flex in the wind and at speed, and side panels because they are flexed every time you take them off or put them on.

Because I was so #$%*e at keeping up spraying thousands of different shaped parts on their "coat hangers" on the production line in the spray shop that I often ended up in the entrance to the oven chasing my own tail to keep up.but once they were in the oven it was all over and I had lost.

I must have misread your post before then assuming you meant that you gotta get it super hot in the garage when you said that the hotter you can get it the better.
I was able to find some locally calling around to auto paint suppliers (Industrial Finishes in Portland stocks it, if you find yourself down south). Did a small correction, then tried to spray the remainder of a recently popped can and it went on too dry and it lost luster.

hi peeps heres some work ive been doing on my vw corrado vr6, just about ready to add some 2k primer, well i'll sart this debate, as i shoot in temps from the mid 40s to mid 50s in the winter sometimes colder but we won't talk about that now, and everything is fine.
Applying a second coat too soon will cause runs or the orange peel look.
The next coat over the mist will infill and bring back the smooth gloss.
Of course, you could buff it to a mirror shine if that's the quality you need, but if you're just going for a fix-up that doesn't look purely like trash, then this will elevate your finish tremendously.
The shelf life on clear isn't all that great, so I didn't want to waste a can, as I rarely do playfield work.
After that, Haunted House, Flash Gordon and Bram Stoker's Dracula will probably follow.
I want the decals to stick well and look clear, so should I not sand before applying them?

The SprayMax 2K Auto Clear in a Can Club!
Figure I will try a small test area first. If you DO want to polish it like glass, then this gets you 50% there before you get out the DA buffer. I enquired at my local store a few years ago and they had no idea what I was talking aboot. Stuff is great and so easy to use!
My experience with decals (from decades of custom painting model trains) bears that decals always look best when applied to the smoothest, cleanest, glossiest surface possible. WOW!
Is labeled to be used by professionals only.
TX-Sector. Me being cheap decided to sand it painted it with duplicolor 1k primer and universal black. I'm replacing all of the inserts, so I have to apply new decals.

Very happy with the results. Wondering if I have the wrong cartridges or if the seal wasn't tight enough with my face.
Finally when wet sanding, mix soap into the water and turn or replace the sand paper frequently, and sand with light pressure.
i kinda need to as i only realy have the shed im renting for the winter which isnt ideal for body repairs {only just found out}.
This stuff is amazing and that should end the review.

Wasted most of the can because I only needed a little bit, but both projects turned out great. Once your decals are in place, you need to seal them. There are more than 8 games linked to this topic. What temp are you using it in?

Humidity is also very important. At least 3 days to a week.
I left the clear coat to dry, hanging in my make-shift paint booth for about 5 hours. I only want to sell both cans at once.

Does UV light affect it? 70 is more than enough, hell i've done overall paint jobs on cars/trucks at 60 with no problems just using faster reducers/hardeners.

I think you would be better off going with gloss and then knock back the shine with some high grit sandpaper or synthetic steel wool.

So if you feel compelled to sand between coats, make certain you polish to glass before you decal! It's highly toxic, so make sure to wear a respirator, goggles, and gloves!

Conversely, wait too long and you wont have perfect adhesion. The paint flows a lot better at that temp too.
I have used SEM "Trim Clear" as a base before painting with very good results on plastic side covers.

Make sure there is no snow or ice on them on the OUTSIDE , as this will cause condensation to drip on the INSIDE, I dont quite know why this happens but it does, I had a nightmare winter once, much to cold to spray in a barn in the country side that I rented, and every time I put the space heater on condensation dripped from tarp "roof" on to the car bodywork I was preppingwhen I looked outside there was ice on top of the tarps. After I took it down and laid it out on a table (so I could paint the other fender) it very clearly had fingerprint marks in the clear coat.
This is why I can't spray it without a tear down, and why I would tolerate a brush touch up if it can look anywhere near decent.
Yeah it'll dry quickerbut why go through that kind of trouble when 70 degrees or so is perfectly fine.

Once you get below 60 degreesthings slow WAY down as far as dry times goI've painted in the 40'sthat's what I did my winter beater truck in but with a clear coat that dries in 15 minutes normally. My lack of skill is a different problem.

8y 93,050 i would like to see you feather those spots out a little more, i would da all the paint off that rear panel sure you can fill it with the 2k primer but you should try and get it as flat as you can first it will sae you in the end, Unless they changed it,,,the min temp should be no less than 65 "Degrees", "The number of parasites in the USA has now eclipsed the number of productive members of society". I have a feeling that Maple Airbrush Supplies may be my only option.
I had good luck with that part.
