After getting our cart and returning to the club house to hit the course a staff person walks up and start opening all our gun cases ammo boxes and shooting bags -without announcing their intentions, asking, or informing us. I could go on and on but, Lehigh Valley is something that needs to be experienced by everyone who has a passion for the shooting sports to be able to do this beautiful facility any justice !!! It is an excellent place to learn and refine your shooting skills. The course is paved. Weekends get awfully busy so my advice is to come during the week or arrive EARLY on Sat and Sun. Have two setups for each station A for advanced and B for beginners. A month later I came back with my father who is in his late 60s. We were told last time when we shot here that there were going to be more stations added. Rock Mountain is top notch also but the drive is too much for me. Trappers are usually available, but if you prefer you can shoot without one. I shoot LVSC every weekend and it is AWESOME. The course is set around an abandoned mill & quarry with fantastic shots across the water or incorporating some of the old structures. At the point they opened my range bag (I had picked up some empty paper hulls several ago at a different club, and as a reloaded I was interested in availability (modern ammo issues)) and found the hulls I received a lecture about illegal ammo this was troubling as they were EMPTY 12ga, 2 3/4 paper hulls (about 6). They are converting all their stations to a card system, if you have been there, a card system like the green course, or moving away from the orange release boxes you have to carry with you. Not being able to shoot at some of the other stations have now made it that many stations you are shooting 8 shots instead of 6 shots like before. I injured my hand earlier this year and found my Browning O/U wasnt helping it heal and resorted back to my old Mossberg 500 (I install a full-length rifle stock with integrated pistol grip a few years ago). Lessons are required if you have never used a shotgun unless you are with someone who is experienced who will be responsible for teaching proper gun safety. The targets are a challenging. The golf carts made for a pleasant day. 1) if the type of shooters they regularly get warrant this behavior I dont want any part of it, 2) it this type of fund mentality that decides our guns and shooting sports community I wont support that thinking! I elected to car my SHOTGUN to see the course, although their were only four or five other squads on the course the safety range officers were Constantine driving up or parked down the trail watching us. Really Nice facility!! We watched people come in, find out how long the wait was and turn around and leave, again making LVSC lose business. There are now 3 levels throughout this course, this however now means that the beginner course is not able to shoot at many of the stations that were previously available using the old course setup. The wait was up to one and a half hours at that point. This is the place everyone has to go to!!!! The panel is demanding information and testimony from the 14 people who the panel says met and submitted false Electoral College certificates from Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, New Mexico, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Will be making many trips here in the future. i realize change is needed to keep the courses from being too repetitive, but to wait with a pager like you receive at outback steakhouse is very low class if you ask me.
