Our Partners | (Very handy at times). The 16th fairway was in process of being cut, but noticed immediately, daisies hadnt been cut & removed, merely rolled over & sprang back up again ! Loved the second hole, did not like the 4th! The course is hugely scenic with some challenging holes, the par threes are long. A very enjoyable round. The greens were good? Rated High | Played Sunday 7th May and it was still preferred lies. No pro shop and clubhouse very quiet when we turned up to play, nice chap in the car park directed us in right direction for first tee. Work With Us | 36 reviews Beautiful weather. Quite a hilly course but not over taxing. The inspired use of the natural features of the landscape, tree-lined fairways and well-located greens, combine to provide an unforgettable round of golf. The main issue was the greens appeared to have been top dressed and were almost impossible to read. Therefore difficult to find ball - even after hitting perfect tee shots & anything slightly L or R more so. On the day I played, the greens were fiendishly quick, but very well prepared. However I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course, particularly when the Pro informed me they had been relying on volunteers. This is a beautiful course in a lovely setting.

Course very quiet which was nice.

The setting of the course is stunning with a picturesque backdrop of the Cumbrian fells. Rated Low, The golf courses reviews are the personal opinions of members of Golfshake who completed a review after playing the course. Lots of course improvements going on at the moment and I'm looking forward to seeing how they mature on my future visits. The course was quiet and in very good condition. Had played Cockermouth GC previous day - much better with proper mown fairways. We play this course annually and it keeps getting better, every hole different. First time playing Keswick, had booked on-line before hand which was easy enough. Measuring just over 6200 yards off the Championship tees, the par of 71 confirms that a round of great character awaits. Every tee has a hole guide explaining the dangers and local rules to be followed.

Our Services | The lady on reception was extremely helpful and polite. Share your thoughts to provide valuable feedback to the golf club and to help other golfers who may be planning to play here. It is the course's beautiful setting that makes this a real delight as it is set among the mountainous Cumbrian skyline. Friendly Pro with a well stocked shop, nice food and a view from the clubhouse to die for! It has the potential to be a cracking course and is a real test for any golfer. Feedback | Log In | The holes are all different and it would be a challenging course for all standards of play. * Any prices shown are guide prices, please confirm with the course prior to booking. Help | | Post Review mmll continue welcome A disappointing day therefore at Keswick. These opinions do not necessarily represent the views of Golfshake.com. Some nice looking holes and great scenery all around. Help | The rough was very thick and was easy to lose a ball. We will certainly play this course again in the future. Played this course after lockdown and wasn't expecting much. | Website Good xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Played early May 2017, dramatic high hill surrounded the course - unfortunately this day we found fairways to be "daisy covered" and not close mown.

18 holes | Par 71 | 6225 yards | Private | Parkland, Address: Threlkeld Hall, Keswick, Date | My wife and I played the Keswick course, starting mid afternoon.

Greens a little woolly but passable given time of year and saturated conditions. The course is quite a challenging walk with some uphill climbs. Beautiful, challenging course set amongst some of the best scenery you will ever see on a golf course. Well worth a visit. Review Rank | Some of the fairways are not pristine and much of the course is hilly (as you might expect). The greens are very good and the course is clearly improving. The signage is excellent around the course. The views are often breathtaking,so all in all well worth playing this course.Be prepared to be a little tired afterwards! We played on a friday mid morning. Keswick's unusual layout is often what confuses golfers around this course and really adds to the challenge, with a large variety of holes. Golfshake Apps | Great days golf and wild definitely recommend. the fairways were pretty decent. Picturesque course set amongst north Lakeland hills - work proceeding to upgrade parts of course with GUR here and there, but does not detract from quality of course. Played 3 ball and hired clubs they looked brand new Ping g400, set off into the hilly course not for the faint hearted. Would certainly like to play it again in drier conditions.
