Design 
At first I thought it was broken and almost returned it but my husband was able to remove the clog and the vacuum still works great two years later. I thought my previous vacuum was doing the job but this vacuum proved that it did not. I do have a few cons, after a few years the adjustment for lowering or raising the beater bar (for higher carpet down to bare floor) stopped working the dial turns but the bar no longer raises or lowers.
