This is a great story that boys, girls, teens and tweens will enjoy. Ill be checking out all of these. If youre looking for some recommendations, here are a few clean young adult fantasy and adult fantasy books Ive enjoyed within the last year (in the order I read them). Desperate to discover how this came to be, he discovers an ancient library hidden far below the surface of the earth. The men don't strip down at random for some hokey magical initiation, and they don't have to walk naked across a desert, or through an entirecamp, or freaking live a whole year naked as a penance (actually some men DO have to do this, but Jordan doesn't focus on them, just the women). Clean or not, these are some great stories. How about when the lives of all four characters entwine in one grand adventure to save the planet.

Take some ordinary fairy tales and give them a technologically futuristic twist, and you've got The Lunar Chronicles. It's called Time Jumpers, and we've been waiting for it forever! If you read the Belgariad and then the Mallorean series you are ready to read one of my all-time favorite fantasy novels: "Belgarath the Sorcerer".
The 5 bookseries by Rick Riordian that starts with "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief" is also quite enjoyable (I never read any of the other series after that one). He has a problem with metaphors, so he's always coming up with these crazy comparisons that really make his character endearing.

I don't have a teen or tween however, I'd be up for the Lunar series. The magic reminds me a bit of Soulcasting, as it has to do with talking to inanimate objects to convince them to do things.

Fair warning, Weber's series have a distinct over-abundance of one-dimensional characters but the world building and overall coolness of the books generally make up for the weak characters. If you want something that is a bit more "old school" fantasy then the Belgariad series by David Eddings is great; it was one of the first fantasy series I ever read. The reading level for these books is grades K-8, but older kids and grownups will enjoy the stories as well. For example, one of the first books that came to mind is "Lords of the Sky" by Angus Wells. Because strange things seem to happen when Jack is around, he never gets to leave and finds his only solace secretly reading forbidden old comic books. Have you read any of these books? If you are looking for something that is 100% devoid of anything related to sex then there are some good YA series that, even as an adult, I enjoyed.
I'm a picky reader, but I might try some of these. A Wizard of Earthsea (The Earthsea Cycle #1) by Ursula Le Guin. But those are more scifi than fantasy. It gets exhausting, to be honest. This is the book series that converted me to e-reading because after I read the sample, I couldnt wait for a print book to come in the mail to keep reading. I've got a ton more to add. Don't worry, though. I'll try to give you a little summary about each series without giving away too much of the plot! If you haven't read Brandon Mull, read that. Mindwar (Mindwar #1) by Andrew Klavan (YA F KLA) In the tradition of Enders Game and The Matrix, MindWar is a complex thriller about a seemingly ordinary teenager who discovers a hidden gifta gift that could make him a hero . I also recommend Jonathan Stroud's Lockwood & Co series, which is a little more horror, but it's middle-grade/YA horror so not as disturbing as many other books in the horror genre. "the Forever War" by Joe Haldeman is another classic that really digs into time dilation (like in Interstellar) and the pointlessness of war Again, the characters take center stage in wrestling with tough conflicts like weighing the value of truth versus their own needs.
