The pool is wonderful. The hotel was very busy so is obviously a popular choice. Staff at check in not very happy. It was a regular Ibuprofen thankfully nothing more but even so, one of my kids could have put that pill in their mouth. No housekeeping. So it took over an hour to actually check in and get into our room. They do expect you to have a mask on at all times throughout the hotel. The only bad thing I have to say, the check in line should not compare to a ride at Disneyland. Checkin and checkout easy. The slots seemed "tighter" than normal with not much play for $$$$. Free valet parking and the attendants are always no nonsense and get the vehicles in a timely manner. Had they apologised and offered to move us, all might have been well. We will be looking for another hotel today.
We had a great experience at the Aquarius. The bed was comfy the room is spacious and pretty quiet all night. After that incident we decided just to walk to Daniels at the Regency Casino or to the Riverside for breakfast or lunch. I was extremely offended that even happened. But this time the representative told me all I had to do was scroll from the drop down menu and click "visitor" and put in my email and voila! I voice my concern about Valet and check in process and all he could do is say I'm sorry and nothing else no empathy or concern about my experience just gives me a complaint card which he stated i can turn into him after filling out at desk. My husband and I had never been to Laughlin so thought we would give it a try. Caesars salad was not fresh, waiter did not offer fresh cheese, the Scallops were disgusting laying on top of a bowl of cream of mushroom soup and partially cooked mushrooms.
but overall the Aquarius rang all the bells we were looking for. Couldn't get a bellman as there were not enough of them. We told him never mind. There were a number of issues in our room though. This is probably one of the better hotels and Laughlin. The casino is average and we really did not do much gambling. Called security twice. Been going there for more than 10 years and now I am looking for some place else. We go to Laughlin regularly, the only place we stay is here. Neutral: Yes, the property is quite dated. We ate at Outback and had great service and food.
We would go back to this casino. At first, they said (fur days) there were no rooms available so they wouldn't have to Honor the conference rate. We ate at Outback Steakhouse which was the highlight of our stay. We have stayed here before and have paid for the room. We booked two nights midweek. Granted, Aquarius is better than Harrah's for sure, it's still just mediocre, like not even a stop above a Motel 6, like I'd rather stay at a Motel 6 than any big hotel in Laughlin. At this price point, I think the accommodations represent a good value. Adequate complementary shampoo and conditioner. Pill thing though still kind of has me a little bothered but again, nothing to raise a fuss over. The casino has a nice selection of machines. On the "dark" side, the regular buffet was lousy. What casino has the most slot machines in Laughlin Nevada? I walked into the hallway and didn't smell it but in our room we did. We chose a river view room and we're given a room on the 10th floor in the Arizona tower. The TV was disappointing. I don't usually leave this negative of a review but I truly was extremely disappointed. The riverside walkway had music blasting, which was jarring. We would likely look up the Aquarius again. When I finally got my room key, I went all the way up to the 12th floor only to find out my key didn't work.
When that was refused, I was offered an unacceptable different room, then another. Such a great deal.
I told him I will finish eating and leave. Writing this review 2 months after our visit now that I'm calm. Ugh, when I mentioned the TV issue at check out the clerk was rather flippant and said the whole hotel experienced that issue. We are at the vineyard restaurant for dinner which is an Italian style restaurant with good food and wine. Yes, the casino has smokers and it could use better ventilation, but it's not terrible. She was very RUDE to my mother. People are nice, rooms clean, restaurants are good. Check in took a little longer than normal. Disgusting!! Overall it's ok, though there were hairs all throughout the bathroom and dirty smudges on the pillowcases (photo attached). Overall, the property was nice. I had my clorox wipes so cleaned it myself. I would recommend and I would stay here again. I unrolled the mat to take a shower and there was hair on it. Rooms are very nice but older and the upper level rooms have a great view. Dumb. The parking was free and easy. The Cove is a great place to dine, the staff is awesome and very focused on customer service. There was people smoking, drinking and gambling just sitting at machines constantly.
Our room was dusty and the hotel seemed a bit dirty. The casino and check-in area seem very smokey. Bed could be a little more comfortable.
check in took awhile but that was only because people ahead had lots of ?. A real Casino Hotel, with full speed around the clock. The good internet was 9.99 per day. They had all the major games you expect. Access to the water taxi, a pool, restaurants, bars, gambling. You just have to set your expectations correctly. They will be excited to jet ski and explore. We walked into the hallway after and the whole hallway smelt like marijuana . Based on the design of the window, I believe every room has a partial river view. ice machine not working , sells off brands in branded drink machines, room was not the cleanest, refrigerator dirty, something dripping down inside entrance door, no room safe, sometimes smelled like a sewer. Just an average casino. There is a resort fee, but it is clearly stated up front. This is an average hotel. 2 hours later I go downstairs to talk to the front desk that no one has come to the room. I had made my reservation several weeks in advance. I'm trying to get a 50% appreciation rating. There were plenty of signs up advising social distancing and face coverings. Pillows too firm so your head tilts forward. Had resolution to our issue had been handled better and more quickly, the rating for this hotel would have been higher. Hello Marlon G. Thank you for choosing the Aquarius. The room had poor lighting as well as electrical outlets. Just please provide some customer friendly service to your front desk staff. We apologize for the inconvenience you encountered during your stay. Met some new staff who were excellent : Brad - on front desk was very good (joins Brian G as my "go to" check in person at the Aquarius) Jose - casino floor tech was very nice and helpful ! The one bright spot is The Cove, a bar near the river walk just inside the door. The room was comfortable with the furniture showing it's age and was in need of a redo. There were clear signs to say no cooking but not a single one against cigarettes. There was a very long line for check-in--exhausting! The rooms were adequate but not immaculate. I've read several of the reviews and guess we just avoided many of their issues. Staff was very helpful and prompt with anything we needed. I tell him my key doesn't work and he says your key doesn't work? So much potential with a great view and they have done so,much with this casino now they need to fix this place. If you are looking for more "las vegas" type of hotel, take a look at the Golden Nugget. My casino Host Sharon, is awesome. It's an enjoyable walk between casinos. I like to stay up late gambling and on two different evenings I noticed there was not a cocktail waitress to be found on the floor after midnight. This was on a Sunday and here we are Wednesday and I just got my iPad delivered! Covering 21,000 route miles (34,000km) Amtrak operates more than 300 trains daily. We had no problems with water pressure or water temperature. Room was great. Spent 3 nights here. Quick check in, no one in line and we checked in early!!! Of PARTICULAR note, I opened the mustard to put some on my hamburger and mustard would not come out. On arrival into the reception area i was like OMG the reception area was where the casino was! Demanded to know my room number , and said that per Aquarius policy , they could not take the payment. Thank you for your kind review. Our hotel room was dirty. I had a blast. Didn't run into an unkind person at the front desk, maintenance staff, gift shop, casino, or at the Outback Steakhouse located in the back of the casino. , including fully vaccinated individuals, wear a mask in public indoor settings, including resorts and casinos, restaurants, bars, showrooms and meeting spaces. Needless to say, the wifi worked, it was complicated, but it worked. Some good options for dining. The only great thing about the whole stay was the FANTASTIC Italian restaurant on site. Other than that, the rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. Was security going to kick people out because they were at capacity, I dont think so So it's now 7:30 and because the casino floor is way over capacity and extremely extremely busy are are held up in our room. There was a line of at least 20 people checking in and only two clerks for most of the 45 minutes it took me to check in. Was gonna be a surprise trip for my wife's 55th birthday!
Check in/check out was easy, fast, and efficient. Check in was a horror story. It was very busy and had a 2 hour wait. I found the atmosphere the casino pleasant and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall employees were very nice. A great place to stay! 10 minutes later they call back and say then casino is full and your reservation is canceled. The cable came back on but the wifi was out until the following day. We had view of the river and strip. The casino was just like any other. We tried to check in before dinner but their check-in system crashed. It worked, somewhat. There are plenty of restaurants and the food was good everywhere I ate. Laughlin is dumpy and dirty in general! Doing the right thing, we brought it up to hotel personnel and an Incident Report was filed. Also if you like to walk, there is a great trail to the Davis Dam. The Aquarius all in all was a good experience. The Aquarius was so amazingly unhelpful that, after literally 90 minutes of trying, Priceline customer service gave up and just paid to book me at Harrah's. This place has lots of updated games and some actually even pay out! I would encourage any sports bettor to patronize the Golden Nugget. This was an older property but was clean and nice. Comes with alcoholic as well as soft beverages. We are thrilled to see that we are your first choice, and we can't wait to see you again. We got inside, he told me the room was very far, I said I had to rest. Cons: * Plastic Ice Basket provided was broken. We took a river cruise on the celebration boat in the afternoon, one and a half hours long. I was also told by a lady at the bell desk that the water taxi was running and came by every 10 minutes or so. Best hotel, casino, restaurants and the customer service from the employee is excellent. It was actually one of the better hotel beds I have slept on so that is what saved their rating at 3. Stay for the Sunday Brunch or Friday Seafood buffets if you can. Breakfast was excellent, service very good as long as you arrived before the morning rush. I have reviewed this property before but my wife and I just got back from spending three nights for New Year's Eve. We were there on a Wed and Thurs night so things were pretty slow.so you could move around and find open slot games.
I mean, don't expect it to look like any of the resorts in Vegas. A spare blanket was in the room which my wife used---I like the A/C colder than her!. We danced and sang to our favorite songs. They did however, spray some type of deodorizer to cover the smell. She actually stopped dealing to exchange contact information. The phone operators are not the same people that checks you in. They have a roof top tennis court you can view the river from. The views were beautiful! The slots were not very loose but you can't win all the time. I really loved this place! Went back to the front dest and given a room in the other tower that is closer to the parking garage,(HIGHLY RECOMMENDED).
Check In took a while, because the reception was very busy. Will be going back soon. I really enjoyed the Prime Rib and the river view at dinner. This only leads me to believe that vacuuming was either skipped or hurried. We have visited this property A Lot over the years. I booked for 2 beds and I only got a a room with 1 bed. Hemet to Aquarius Casino Resort bus services, operated by Greyhound USA, depart from San Bernardino station. We were in Arizona tower and when we got off elevator the smell was not good, dirty rolling carpet in hallway. The hotel is nicely located so there is plenty to do, within walking distance in almost any direction. Room clean, furniture and carpet fairly new. The pizza joint has decent pizza, though relatively expensive. Outback has never been very good but now it is horrible.
We had a great snack in the diner, and it was great value. 99% of guests followed mask rules which is always good to see. Like Jeremy at the Splash bar was super. Nancy with security was able to send staff to the room to find it! I would stay again given the opportunity. Facility is ok. Staff lethargic no one seemed to have any energy for a place selling fun to add pain, AC in room was not cooling in room and we discovered that too late in the evening to move. Absolutely! Worst ever. Over the past year or so, I can only say while the place is very well maintained, it is just starting to show its age..It really is time for a new do. I think until Covid 19 goes away or they find a vaccine. For someone who is new to visiting Laughlin, I'm so glad we stayed at Aquarius Resort and Casino. The new pool area was better than the old one, but it is a shame that this hotel sees the need to charge a $15 "resort fee" rather than just being honest about price. Went to service desk where they changed our room and made it right by refunding our extra charge of $20. At certain times, one has to wait quite a bit to get into the elevator, lines are long. Bed very comfy. Really really pathetic. True no bars open but outback steakhouse was fine in and could drink while dining. Very lively over the weekend.. Food choice good.. Within walking distance along the river to other casinos and river boat tours. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very comfy bed, many pillows, many TV channels, fridge, coffee maker and very friendly staff. Check in was easy the rooms were decent. I went to the front desk to notify them of the issue and was offered someone to come up and spray the room. employees at this hotel are rude! First of all the people that work here are super nice, from the valet to the check in and people working in the restaurants. We have stayed here before and liked it. Staff very friendly, location perfect. The manager would not fix it and refused any compromise or adjustment. Our room was clean, the carpet was relatively new, and the bedding, towels, etc. Laughlin is sooo much better value than Vegas. My room needs a makeover. Rome2rio's Travel Guide series provide vital information for the global traveller.
The structure at the Aquarius is free and I found these parking spaces to be a bit more roomier than the structure next door.
The Celebration riverboat is moored right in front of the hotel and available for river tours. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Laughlin. Security guards have some sort of god complex and think they can treat paying guests like they aren't even people. They are the same company, same security staff. The staff were very friendly and helpful and while there was a short delay at check-in (with only two reception staff on duty) this was quickly rectified by an observant manager. But be careful of room placement--ours was by a series of large compressors that generated white noise 24/7. Room was for a good price with the river view. Some of the cookies used are essential for parts of the site to operate. They were circling us like sharks while we were trying to redeem some of our vouchers from gambling.
Went to the buffet for dinner(mediocre at best). Easy access to and from any of the neighboring casinos. Since we did NOT use the swimming pool or gym, we paid for something that wasn't used--one review star deducted for that fee. Casino had good payouts, cocktail service was always there, rewards staff went above and beyond as we were given free play credits and actually won playing for free. We had to wait in line 15-20 min. So, it was pretty much take the good with take the bad. Good: The people! We will be going back again! The dinner buffet when we were there, my 'mongolian' stir fry was burnt. Furnishings are dated and worn, comfortable seating not available, and the lighting is poor. Very friendly staff. The casino reeked so badly of smoke, it was all we could do to walk through to get to our room. I love the cafe and river rock is a classy little masterpiece. Please take some cabana lessons from Las Vegas! Casino had lots to offer.
Compared to our experiences in other Laughlin hotels we'd still recommend the Aquarius because none of them tend to be luxurious. This was our first time visiting Laughlin and it won't be our last. I have been here before a few years ago and it was just as great, if not better. UNSAFE! She was very rude and was lazy because she didn't want to help with finding out about the charges ,That were made to my account . Oh, so the person coming in (potentially) tomorrow is more important than us?
The room was clean and severed it purpose for the 2 nights and had a nice view of the Colorado river. It was also very uncomfortable. It wasnt just breakfast food it was pretty much a full breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet including mimosas and other drinks. Great view of river from window. Watch this hotel when booking. Room was clean and offered both a river view and view of the mountains, Air Conditioner was working quite well - even had to tone it down a bit. So, I can recommend that this is a good hotel for business. We saw people running down the hallway and smelt smoke, so we quickly threw some clothes on and our belongings together to leave. As you enter the doors you have the casino in front of you and to the left reception. Later that night the restaurant we were going to eat dinner, The Vineyard, was closed and so we had to go to another casino. 2020 S. Casino Drive | Laughlin, Nevada 89029 This casino/hotel may be under new ownership but it is still probably the best place to stay in Laughlin. Service is excellent. Cons include mediocre coffee shop, smelly elevators (ant spray), restrooms also stink though clean, casino floor beverage service nonexistent in early AM. I've stayed in both towers (Arizona and California) and the rooms are all decent but the issues I have with the casino is that they allow smoking on casino floor without good ventilation. They have great restaurants and bars. We stayed there for Labor Day weekend. It was a bit shady. We are new to your hotel and get treated this way. There was nothing extraordinary here, but I can say that my stay here was pleasant, the accommodations were clean and up to date, the casino was large, dining options on site, the staff was friendly, and the location was perfect for exploring the Laughlin opportunities. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Was very unhappy with the room. Yes, the driving distance between Hemet to Aquarius Casino Resort is 254 miles. It's an older casino hotel likely built in the 80s, but has been kept up . So making a reservation doesn't matter. The cable TV was standard, no movie channel and the picture was ok. One for families and the other for adults only which we appreciate being a senior couple. Had a great view of Bullhead City and of the river itself. The staff was very helpful! Similar to the strip in Vegas except this is waterfront sidewalk.
