Like I said, they feel amazing and the E D and G sound phenomenal but the A was lifeless. I remember these being brighter than expected (in a good way). I had them on my bass for about five years before I sold it and never felt tempted to change them.

Lowered the bass, lowered the mids, added a touch to the high-end and BAM! I have tried others but keep returning to TIs. Theyre not at all woolly unless you start turning the tone controls down. These string are perfect for that set-up.

Jazz is my choice. I would suggest trying a set of the La Bella LTF first if they are easier to acquire in NZ. Thanks!
