The Jrgs head is a far better performance head, made by ProFiler(American company) for Jegs and flows 274 gfm intake and 206 cfm exhaust @.500" lift. I was going through the Holley facility in Bowling green and there were pallets of Summit manifolds there being machined.
so why spend 700 bucks for a set of heads when you could get some off this site for 150 bucks and put maybe 200 to cleen them up.

Cat4ward headers feature mandrel-bent, 409 stainless tubing for reduce exhaust restriction. Of course, if a little more airflow means a little more power, then a lotmore airflow can yieldlots more horsepower. They flow a little over 250cfm on the intake. IMHO, the 165cc intake runner heads will easily turn to 5000 with the xm256 cam.

In this case, the JBAshorty-style headers work well with the Trick Flow heads and aftermarket exhaust installed in the first installment of this series.
The advantage here is the polymers superior heat dissipating abilities and lighter weight compared to aluminum versions.

I looked at the flow numbers, and although they seem decent, they dont include flow information for a lift under .400.
they are pretty much the same as stock heads out of a L98. Trick Flow also changed the valve angles from 15 to 12 degrees to enhance airflow and allow for greater piston-to-valve clearance.

Yes Brodix is making there heads the reason for the price differance is the quailty of parts put in the heads brodix cast them for summiit and summit puts there parts in them, therefor thats were you should watch because of the quality of components such as valves, springs keepers etc.

I have never used them but for 150.00 more you can get these Edelbrock perf RPM.
This is 600 hp potential on the right engine build, and they are aluminum. Under recommendation from a speed shop with alot of jet boat experience.
The summit brand was 18 circuit and the painless was 12 circuit, with the summit being $100 bucks cheaper.

personally the brodix ik heads are an amazing peice id buy them from brodix and you know they will have the great parts in them. Like all the upgrades being made to the 2013 Camaro, the heads are CARB-legal for use in all 50 states. Its the same as the wilwood, same casting numbers and all, but its 100$ cheaper. If I were in the market for heads, I'd give em a shot.
In our conversation about who makes some of the summit brand stuff he told the 200 cc summit aluminum heads are just brodix IK200. Looks like I will be ordering the summit 152123 heads, also going up in cam size to the xm262h cam.
The Jegs aluminum heads that are approx $550 per head are Profiler. A forum community dedicated to hot rod owners and enthusiasts. They are listed at $569 each for their 197cc heads.
Check out Speedway Motors FloTec heads they acquitted themselves very well in comparison tests run at Car Craft Magizine and certainly are inexpensive as aluminum heads go.

These upgrades are affordable, fairly easy to complete, and allow the Camaros LS V8 to breathe just a little easier.
They deliver a nice little performance bump immediately and alsoset the stage for laterupgrades if youre working on a month-to-month or paycheck-to-paycheck budget.

I don't believe that the Jegs head you linked is the head made by Profiler.
Trick Flow GenX 255 heads feature what Trick Flow calls CNC Competition Ported intake runners, which offer superior flow capabilities. jekyll & hyde basically just described my buildup thats im starting in a month or so.. Frenzy series, Fifth-Gen.
Many of these vehicles will be coming out of warranty, making them perfect new candidates for aftermarket upgrades.

I was not looking to buy a set of heads. I used to see them on sale for $850 occasionallybeen a while since I've seen that though. But the price is crazy low for a set of aluminum heads. They are a quality casting though.

They also removed and replaced the restrictive stock exhaust manifolds with better-flowing aftermarket headers. This was done a while back but these heads are still on the market.
